ROLE : Event Poster Design, Menu Design
Suono is a speakeasy-style vinyl HiFi bar in Brooklyn looking to attract audiophile-types and those seeking an intimate listening room environment.
"Suono" was the name of an Italian sound industry magazine founded in the 1970's. With the permission of the bar's audio engineer consultant, the son of the magazine's founder, we used the name, logo, and magazine covers for their branding and marketing.
MONTHLY LINEUP POSTERS
The client wanted each monthly lineup poster to be in a new style. Sometimes they were influenced by posters from specific eras, like this one inspired by the multi-act blues and rock shows of the 1950's. Some used organic shapes, reminiscent of trippy 1960's rock poster design.

WEEKLY POSTERS
For the weekly event posters, I used the magazine's archive dating back to the 1970's. I edited each cover to incorporate our updated version of the magazine logo repurposed for the bar, as well as the weekly DJ names and event information, while retaining as much Italian text and natural weathering as possible.
